As many of you know I am an avid supporter of the recent activities of The FNTP and I would just like to take this opportunity to congratulate them and their ever increasing number of members for having the courage to stand up for your basic human rights, Thank you!
Following The FNTP’s recent announcement it’s clear to me that the profession is now speaking with a more united inclusive voice and I can rest comfortable in the knowledge that the profession is in safe hands. I just hope you go on to build on the great success you have achieved over recent months.
I would also like to take this opportunity to say to anyone who has not yet joined The FNTP, now’s the time to play your part in moulding the future of this wonderful profession for many years to come… come on get involved…

FNTP UPDATE
Restriction of Practice
FNTP have been receiving a significant number of enquiries about the regulation of Nutritional Therapy.
Members have expressed concerns that they may be prohibited from continuing to practice after the deadline for registration with Nutrition Therapy Council passes in September of this year. Other members have expressed concerns that there may be Statutory Regulation which will prohibit them from practice by an act of law.
The FNTP would like to advise members that there are currently no plans for the Statutory Regulation of Nutritional Therapy in the UK. Due to the size and representative capacity of the FNTP it would not be possible for any future Statutory Regulatory process to proceed without our involvement.
We would like to further advise members that the Nutritional Therapy Council (NTC) has no power to influence, limit or prohibit your practice. Registration with the NTC is voluntary and not widely supported within the industry. To date less than 190 practitioners have chosen to join.
FNTP continues to be in communication with both the CNHC and the GRCCT, the two voluntary regulators for complementary therapies in the UK.
Should you require clarification on this or other issues regarding the practice of your therapy please contact the FNTP Office by email admin@fntp.org.uk or by telephone 0870 312 0042. www.fntp.org.uk
